Just plain talking: how plain language summaries help people understand new medical research

9:00pm - 10:00pm NZDT

The recent update to Good Publication Practice Guidelines, GPP 2022, clearly supports plain language summaries (PLS) to communicate biomedical research to wider audiences, formalising a recent cultural shift in the field of medical publishing. But what are PLS and how do you go about writing one?

In this webinar you will learn about:
  • the value of PLS both to patients, healthcare professionals and other audiences
  • different types of PLS and where they are published
  • some top tips for following health literacy best practices when developing PLS

Join experts Catherine Elliots, Senior Scientific Director at Envision Pharma Group, and Lizzie Perdeaux, Scientific Director at Envision Pharma Group, for an insightful webinar.
