This year, in lieu of what would have been our 37th Annual ConferenceAMWA will be hosting a special virtual event titled 'Medical Writing and Communication During the COVID-19 Crisis'.

It is with great pleasure that we announce our expert panel: Professor Mary-Louise McLaws, World Health Organization advisor on the COVID-19 response; Professor Nick Talley, Editor-in-Chief of the Medical Journal of Australia; Professor Ginny Barbour, Director, Australasian Open Access Strategy Group (AOASG); Dr Holly Seale, Senior Lecturer at the School of Public Health and Community Medicine; and Sophie Scott, ABC medical reporter.

This two-hour event will include an opening address by the AMWA Executive Committee, presentations by each of our experts on the impact of COVID-19 in their field, a panel discussion and Q&A session.
