About Me

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
I’m an Australian general practitioner of thirty-two years who also writes and edits professionally. Before returning to full-time practice I was Assistant Editor of MIMS at MediMedia — MIMS Bi-monthly, MIMS Annual and MIMS New Ethicals — and then ran medical information and Therapeutic Goods Administration liaison for Organon Australia, covering standard response documents, adverse event reporting processes and pharmacovigilance liaison with head office in the Netherlands. I hold a BA in English alongside my MBBS, am trained in systematic review and meta-analysis methodology, and am published as lead author in the peer-reviewed literature. I have written clinical content for practitioner and patient audiences since 2015. I take project work in medical information, CPD and medical education, evidence summaries, and clinical review of material written by non-clinicians.

"I learnt something about a topic I previously knew nothing about – the complex scientific information was presented in an accessible, informative and interesting way."

"I really enjoyed reading this piece from start to finish. It is clear that the writer has a talent for producing scientific writing that is both clear and engaging.
