About Me
Melbourne, Australia - Remote.
I am an Australian General Practitioner with a diverse background spanning clinical medicine, nursing, medical technology and healthcare innovation across both Australia and the United States.
I completed my Bachelor of Science at the University of San Francisco before working in nursing at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). I later moved to Australia to study medicine at the University of Melbourne, graduating with honours with an M.D., and began my medical career as an intern at Western Health, then moved to Alfred Health, where I worked as a physician trainee before transitioning into general practice. I also completed an externship at Stanford Hospital in California, USA, under Dr Healther Waklee, Oncology training.
Alongside clinical practice, I have a strong interest in healthcare innovation and medical technology. I founded a health technology company and continue to provide clinical leadership as its Medical Director, bringing together my interests in medicine, technology and improving the way healthcare is delivered.
More recently, I have developed a particular interest in neurodiversity and advocacy, an area that has become personally meaningful through my experience as a parent to my daughter. I am passionate about improving understanding, inclusion and communication around neurodiversity within healthcare and the broader community.
Medical and health writing provides a natural intersection of many of the areas I value most: clinical medicine, education, advocacy and clear communication. I am particularly interested in contributing to medical education, clinical and patient-facing content, health technology, neurodiversity, and the translation of complex medical information into accurate, accessible and meaningful communication.
