About Me

Sydney, NSW
I've worked in medical publishing for more than 20 years and have a passion for creating evidence-based and engaging health and medical information for both consumers and healthcare professionals. Having studied medicine and worked as a junior doctor, I have a thorough understanding of medicine, medical terminology and clinical research. I have extensive experience writing, editing and proofreading medical content, with particular expertise in web-based consumer health information.

In my freelance work, I strive to create content that is informed by current clinical guidelines and expert opinion, yet easy to read and understand, with the target audience always in mind. When creating and updating web-based consumer health content, I aim to ensure all content is accessible and search engine optimised, and that it reflects current clinical practice. I have considerable experience writing about complex medical topics for a range of audiences and can meet specific client briefs as well as manage competing projects to meet tight deadlines.

Upcoming Webinar - Statistics for Medical Writers

AMWA is pleased to bring you the first webinar of 2026. Presented by Dr Richard Kay, this webinar will give you a clear, logical structure for thinking about statistical methodology in pharmaceutical R&D. You'll be introduced to methods used in different settings, which are driven by the endpoint type, with a particular focus on binary (odds ratios, relative risks) and time to event (Kaplan-Meier curves, hazard ratios) endpoints. Ideas behind p-values, confidence intervals, and powering a study to detect important levels of effect will be covered. Each concept will be illustrated with case studies.
