About Me

Sydney
Hi, I'm Susannah and I'm a freelance Health Writer.

I create high-quality, evidence-based health information which is pitched for readers who are non-healthcare professionals, such as patients and their families. I use clear and simple language that is easy to understand. I am driven by empowering people through knowledge to ask the right questions, make better decisions and advocate for themselves in relation to health.

Before segueing into health writing, I was a Physiotherapist specialising in Health Ergonomics. I spent more than 10 years working in private and public sector institutions, making changes to improve health. My focus was always on education and information. My experience as a Healthcare Professional strongly informs my writing. I understand the challenges and concerns of patients, and the information they are looking for. I know how to provide this in a format that can be easily understood, incorporating empathy and compassion.

My written work allows health organisations to engage with, and pass valuable messages to, their audiences. Working together, we inspire behavioural change and drive better health outcomes.
