About Me


Dr Sue Radd is a multi-award winning and internationally published author. Her latest work, Food as Medicine: Cooking for Your Best Health, was voted ‘Best Health and Nutrition Book in the World’ by Gourmand World Cookbook Awards in 2016. It was showcased within UNESCO headquarters, Paris, in conjunction with the Gourmand World Summit, 2019. Her knowledge and ability to translate science into anyone’s language makes her a popular writer and speaker. Sue is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, The University of Sydney. AMWA Early Career Award Winner 2025!

Congratulations to Halimat Atanda, winner of the 2025 AMWA Early Career Award. 

The judging panel was impressed by the quality of her submission, 'Methylation Simplified'. One judge commented, “This was a thoroughly enjoyable and highly engaging read. The writer made excellent use of literary devices to explain complex concepts. The flow was good and it was written at an appropriate level for the intended audience.”
