For those who attended the AMWA 2020 Special Virtual Event: 'Medical Writing and Communication During the COVID-19 Crisis'

this unprecedented crisis were beyond our expectations. We are humbled by their willingness to give their personal time to share their

AMWA 2020: Special Virtual Event – Medical Writing and Communication During the COVID-19 Crisis
This year, in lieu of what would have been our 37th Annual Conference, AMWA will be hosting a special virtual
event.
It is with great pleasure that we announce our expert panel: Professor Mary-Louise McLaws, World Health Organization
advisor on the COVID-19 response; Professor Nick Talley, Editor-in-Chief of the Medical Journal of Australia; Professor
Ginny Barbour,
Director, Australasian Open Access Strategy Group (AOASG); Dr Holly Seale, Senior Lecturer at the School of Public Health
and Community Medicine; and Sophie Scott, ABC medical reporter.
This two-hour event will include an opening address by the AMWA Executive Committee, presentations by each of our experts on the impact of
COVID-19 in their field, a panel discussion and Q&A session.
