About Me

Northern Beaches of Sydney
I am a former registered nurse, journalist, political media adviser and healthcare marketer who’s worked in senior marketing, communications and digital roles in a wide range of healthcare organisations. This includes senior leadership/healthcare-focused MarComs roles in/for start-ups, NFPs, government agencies, and national and multi-national organisations. I’ve also worked across a vast range of therapeutic areas.

In terms of current work and areas of interest:
- I lead a Sydney-based healthcare marketing communications and digital agency called Mint Health. We’re currently working with a range of private hospitals, large service-based provider groups and other organisations to manage their online digital/social communications.
- I also work as a business/marketing advisor to leadership teams and/or boards and as a coach to in-house teams providing senior-level strategic business and marketing counsel and advice tailored for newly established and growing businesses.
- I am developing an online resources hub to help healthcare practices and clinics grow with simple, step-by-step daily marketing. Still in its early stages, this business is called Health Marketing Hub and is tailored to the needs of healthcare professionals working in regulated markets in small or solo practices. Follow us on Instagram at @healthmarketinghub.
- I also have an interest in the developing field of medicinal cannabis, in particular, evidence-based research into the approved medical applications for use. I’d be interested to hear from any members (particularly HCPs) who also share an interest in this area for potential discussions and collaborations.

Key experience sectors:
- medical devices and health technology
- health services
- aged care
- public health and government business enterprises
- associations and memberships
- patient advocacy organisations

I’m passionate about:
- innovation and entrepreneurship (particularly high growth/potential startups)
- democratising healthcare
- empowering consumers
- health literacy and
- access and equity

I have a Masters of Marketing from UNSW and a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from UniSA. I have also undertaken further studies in business, finance, commercialisation, entrepreneurship and executive leadership.

I am based on the northern beaches of Sydney, and am happy to be contacted at any time regarding potential projects and collaborations on jennyd@minthealth.com.au or mobile: 0412 061 909.
