I write for health professionals and consumers, and specialise working with medical communications agencies, pharma and medical education providers.
I’m familiar with Medicines Australia’s Code of Conduct, Good Publication Practice guidelines and the role of the professional medical writer.
I’m a medical writer by title, but see myself as a problem solver. I can also edit, proof, revise outdated content, check evidence, develop a template, or help you come up with a new concept.
I’ve worked in medical communications agencies and a not-for-profit organisation as a Medical Writer, Product Lead, Medical Editorial Manager and Content Development Editor.
I started medical writing in 2009, and spent the previous 7 years as a PhD student and Postdoctoral Fellow, targeting growth factor receptors in colon, breast and prostate cancer.
In my various roles, I’ve helped develop briefs, briefed work to other writers, and been responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity and accuracy of editorial materials.
I write the full range of medical communications, but some previous examples include abstracts, app content, case studies, detail aids, e-learning modules, key message documents, leave behinds, manuscripts, meeting reports, news articles, newsletters, objection handlers, podcasts, posters, Q&A documents, review articles, slides and web content.
