The media toolkit: how to write attention-grabbing copy
Robert Hoge is a tutor for the Queensland Writers Centre. Learn the essentials of writing for different media and how to impart information using fresh writing in an engaging manner to attract optimum coverage.

Editing for medical writers: how to edit your own and others' work
Laurel Mackinnon is the editing team manager for OnLine English and presents Biotext workshops. This workshop will cover practical skills to help you edit your own writing or to work as a professional editor.

Workshop C
Beyond the social butterfly: social media strategies for professional writers.
Marcus Foth, associate professor Creative Industries School of Design Office, Urban Informatics at Queensland University of Technology
Examine the most effective ways of using social media tools for your professional purposes. This workshop will be held in a fully equipped computer lab. Personal computers cannot be used.
