I am a freelance mental health writer and editor with extensive experience writing in depth articles and curricula around the spectrum of mental health topics.  I am currently the Editor for the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses’ quarterly magazine and recently invited contributor to the Australian Nursing Journal. My writing style can be academic or colloquial and is always based on thorough research around evidence-based practice. 

My writing background extends beyond research papers and journal articles to funding proposals, health magazine articles, policy documents, service development strategies, TAFE and University subjects, online education programs and tutorials, GP education.

While I write about all types of mental health problems, my area of particular expertise, both in clinical and literary terms, is anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa – I have spent many years working with and writing about these often mis-understood disorders.
