Kathy is an experienced medical writer and scientific editor who has worked in scientific publishing for over a decade. She is skilled in the production of materials for medical marketing activities such as the production of educational healthcare publications e.g. moderator's guides and workbooks, clinical papers (ghost writing), meeting reports, newsletters and bulletins as well as the design of healthcare websites and interactive digital media. She has a broad range of experience in the development and implementation of strategically focused marketing and healthcare communication programs throughout Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

Other Information

After graduating Kathy was employed as Senior Editor of the Journal of Organic Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, USA. Upon returning to Australia she furthered her career in medical and scientific publishing working on journals including The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery, Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Physiology and the Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Blackwell Science Asia. She later coordinated and edited the journal Pathology for the College of Pathologists of Australasia.
Kathy has also been the Managing Editor of two scientific magazines – Chemistry in Australia (The Royal Australian Chemical Institute), and The Veterinarian (Reed-Elsevier Science).
She has worked in scientific publishing for over a decade but more specifically has been medical writing for three years. Her specialized skills include:
