Biotext Pty Ltd is a science information consultancy based in Canberra and Brisbane. We offer a range of services, including:

Biotext Director, Janet Salisbury PhD ELS (Editor in the Life Sciences), has a background in cancer research, and over 15 years of experience in science consulting, writing, editing and publication management. She has a particular interest in evidence-based medicine and has worked on numerous publications involving the assessment and presentation of clinical evidence.
Hilary Cadman PhD ELS, joined the company in 1999. Hilary has a background in research and teaching biomedical sciences, a masters degree in science communication and a certificate IV in workplace training and assessment. Since joining Biotext, she has researched written and edited numerous publications on medical and health care issues. In 2005, Hilary was the first AMWA member to complete the AMWA Professional Development Program.
Malini Devadas PhD and An Van den Borre PhD both have backgrounds in biomedical research, as well as training and experience in science writing and editing.
Experience
Since 1991, Biotext personnel have researched, written or edited numerous reports, manuals, conference proceedings and summaries on food, drugs, health technology, clinical practice, evidence-based medicine, biotechnology, toxic chemicals, communicable diseases, and air and water quality.
The company has provided services to many government departments and agencies (including the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, Food Standards Australia New Zealand and the National Health and Medical Research Council). We have also completed projects for a range of academic and nongovernment organisations in Australia and overseas (including the World Health Organization).
